Grandstream HT813

To enable voice dialing, the Grandstream HT813 Analog-to-SIP gateway must be configured to route calls to and from the TEG (Teldio Edge Gateway). The following tasks must be completed, and will be explained in further detail below.

IMPORTANT: Plug telephone cable ONLY into the FXO port. The FXS port is not used in typical TEG deployments.

Device Configuration

Access the HT813 by plugging into the LAN port. By default the IP for the HT813 is configured for 192.168.2.1. Login with the following credentials:

username: admin | password: admin

 

NOTE: Be sure to click on Update at the bottom of the page to save any changes made. Once all changes are complete, click on Apply and Reboot.


Click on the ADVANCED SETTINGS tab, and scroll down to the bottom. Click on the button next to Upload Configuration, and then select the following HT813 Config (once downloaded locally): HT813_config.xml

IP Addresses

After the configuration is applied, update the following IP Address locations for the HT813 and Teldio Edge Gateway that will be integrated.

BASIC SETTINGS

Statically set the IPv4 Address for the HT813 WAN port. 

IP Address for unconditional Call Forward to TEG.

FXO PORT

SIP Server (i.e. Teldio Edge Gateway) IP

 

Gateway SIP Telephony

The following are settings are to be changed within the Teldio Edge Gateway UI. Navigate to the Settings / Telephony page.

sip.conf

Use the following settings in the “sip.conf” file under the Telephony configuration. Be sure to replace the bold variables with the correct information.

[ht813]

type=peer

context=incoming

host=192.168.217.162

insecure=port

username=fxo

secret=ht813

qualify=yes

dtmfmode=rfc2833

disallow=all

allow=ulaw

 

When using the “Phone Alerts” module, set the “Channel tech/resource prefix” to name given in the sip.conf file. For the example above, set it to: SIP/ht813
