Teldio RBX +Plus Discontinuation Notice

This article serves as a formal notification that Teldio's RBX +Plus solution was discontinued in January 2023 as Teldio focused its offerings on Location Tracking,  Alarm and Video Integration and simple Dispatch solutions.

Going forward new installations will not be supported.

Existing Teldio RBX +Plus customers will continue to be supported on a best effort basis, with the following caveats. 

  • Teldio RBX +Plus Private Phone call feature (which requires the Motorola Option Board - PMLN5496AS) is only supported on XPR 7550/e, XPR 7580/e and SL 7550/e Radios.
  • Teldio RBX +Plus Private Phone Calls are NOT supported on the R7 or ION Radios or on any non-display radios.
    • The R7 Option Board is not supported because it is different than the Option Board in the supported radios.
    • The ION does not have an Option Board. 
    • RBX option board firmware is only set to work with Display radios. 
  • If adding any XPR 7000 series or SL7000 series radio to an existing RBX +Plus deployment, those radios must be the Enabled version and must have the Motorola Option Board/Expansion card (PMLN5496AS).
  • Any MOTOTRBO Radio can still be added to an existing RBX +Plus Deployment's RBX Talkgroup calls as long as they have the TX Interrupt Feature. This is because RBX +Plus Talkgroup Calls do not require the Motorola Option Board. 
  • Due to a Motorola firmware change made in early 2024 - any XPR 7000 series or SL7000 series radios that need the Teldio Firmware must have Motorola Firmware EARLIER than M02.24
